Launching the ball into the roulette game is an integral part of the dealer's job at live tables. You will be surprised, but many dealers and even their managers do not know how to launch the ball correctly.
A roulette spin is when the dealer launches the ball along the roulette track with a quick snap of his fingers.
The roulette wheel must always spin in the opposite direction to the direction in which the ball is launched. The croupier must always launch the ball from the number on the wheel that was the last to fall.
Usually there are two balls on the roulette: a small one and a big one. The croupier does not know which ball he will spin on his shift. At any moment, the senior manager can come and replace the ball with luck, the casino, to ruin the player's mood and prevent him from winning a lot of money.
In good croupier schools, enough attention is paid to the spin technique. The croupier must be able to
launch the ball with both the right and left hand - depending on the orientation of the wheel and its working area.
SPIN TECHNIQUE
at the casino roulette
The dealer's hand closest to the wheel is called the inside hand. The spin is started with the inside hand.
1. We take the ball out of the wheel number, while the dealer grabs it with his thumb and middle finger.
2. Change the direction of the roulette wheel (spin in the opposite direction).
3. Hold the ball between the middle and thumb fingers. The ring finger and little finger are pressed firmly to the palm, the index finger is extended forward so that it does not interfere with the spin. The middle finger should press the ball to the groove of the wheel, slightly holding the ball with the thumb.
4. An angle of 30-45 degrees is formed between the hand with the ball and the roulette. The smaller the angle between the entire hand and the wheel, the easier and more graceful you can launch the ball. The spin must be done with maximum effort, unlike the usual cheek with the fingers.
5. Press the ball against the groove, and at the moment when the number in which it was lying is opposite the fingers with the ball on the groove, click with your middle finger and the ball is sent flying along the bolt track.
Not the whole hand is involved in launching the ball, but only two fingers. Previously, the correct spin of the ball was checked between two stacks of chips. The stacks were placed on opposite sides of the dealer's hand on
the top panel of the wheel. The dealer made a spin and tried not to knock down the stacks on both sides.
The ideal spin is 40 revolutions of the ball.
They can only be done with the correct positioning of the fingers and constant training.
A clumsy spin from the dealer always means awkwardness and the phrase "No game!":
* The ball flew out of the roulette wheel.
* The ball and the roulette spin in the same direction
* During spinning, a foreign object appears in the drum.
* The ball is hanging over the number and does not fall into the bowl (?!?!)
* During the spin the wheel stops.
The ball hanging on the rim or groove of the wheel HAPPENS because the ball and the roulette wheel spin at the same speed.
If the spin is less than three turns, the dealer says: "No game" and stops the roulette, puts the ball back into the last number that came up, spins the roulette in the opposite direction from the one that was in the unsuccessful spin. The wheel must make at least 1 turn with the ball, and the dealer tries to repeat the spin.
A spin is considered correct if it has made more than 3 revolutions on the wheel bolt track.
If the dealer spins less than 12 turns, the dealer must announce a short spin or short game. It is necessary to make it clear to customers that the time for betting is very limited.
