Input statistics 23-10-18-18-15-24-34-2-31-31-30-16-17-26-3-9-2-21-33-24-6-26-9 Session: 5-2-29- 8 (++) ??? (interrupted by Betfair server) * * * The logic of the scenario is simple. 1) At the beginning there were several direct repeats 18-18 and 31-31 2) Then repeats with a slight shift along the track began 3-26 2-21 33-24 3) 6-26-9-5 cannot offer anything interesting except the center 6-9-5 and it was possible to catch a deuce 4) Instead of point 3, the player decided to catch point 2 on rebets. Layout around 5 on track with a little boost each turn: 2-29-8(++)

Somehow everything was spinning around 5 from the very beginning, both on the track and on the field: 23, 10, x, x, x, 24, x, 2, x, x, x, 16, x, x, 3, 9, 2, x, x, 24, 6, x, 9, finally, 5 itself
Everything is fine as it is, and it will get even better.

Not all decisions made by the casino management were clear and correct. Understanding of some issues came only after a certain time, when life itself puts everything in its place. The issues of credit policy in the "Old World" were approached wisely and carefully: before issuing a certain amount of money as a loan, inquiries were made about the person, their "gaming history" was learned, and information about their solvency was obtained. It was even better if one of the founders or a close circle of friends could vouch for the guest asking for a loan. It should be noted that the credit policy in 2004 and in 2008 are two very different things. And the point is, first of all, that at the end of the existence of Moscow casinos, it began to serve as an additional motivation to attract guests. And there was no longer such a serious selection of worthy candidates from among those asking to open a credit line for them, as it was in 2004-2005, when loans were issued exclusively to reliable and proven people. An analogy can be drawn with the work of banks, which initially provided a loan under a certain security and have reached the point where now anyone can get a short-term loan. Imagine a situation when one of the founders comes to the general manager and asks whether we (the casino) are able to cope with a guest who can bring in a lot of money. But in order for this person to come, two conditions must be met: - increase the stakes on roulette to 500 conventional units per room; - provide a credit line in the amount of 2,000,000 (!!!) conventional units. The understanding that the guest plays roulette, a game that brings in 46% of the total profit to the casino, multiplied by a serious cash reserve in the cash register, calculated in the amount of more than 1,500,000 conventional units, gave a positive answer to the question posed. No one was even embarrassed by the amount of money required for the game. 2,000,000! Not everyone can boast of having an idea of what such a sum of money looks like. Especially money that a person wants to put into play! That says something! Having calculated all the pros and cons, the general manager gives an affirmative verdict. The only thing he did not take into account was the old rule, often quoted by the English at the dawn of the Moscow business: if you play "heads or tails" for money with a casino and even at a bet of 1 ruble, sooner or later you will run out of money and you will lose. Because your money has a quantifiable expression, but the casino does not. It is not at all surprising that when considering this issue, the team of managers headed by Yura "forgot" this classic axiom: the Yugoslavs did not know it by definition, the Kharkov specialists disdainfully treated the English system of casino organization in general and the principles of work, as evidenced, in particular, by the statements we have cited above. The Russians (Natasha and Big Alex) simply forgot about it or pretended to forget, supporting the overweening attitude of their Ukrainian colleagues and not wanting to oppose themselves to them in order to prolong their days in the casino. It turned out that, agreeing to the invitation of such a serious guest, both parties had approximately equal cash reserves. The determining factor was the ability to play: knowledge of the rules of the game, understanding how to place bets. And of course, much depended on fortune: without its blessing, you can not hope for victory. On his first visit, this guest successfully lost the 2,000,000 credit conventional units offered to him. Playing with completes (forcing the number as much as possible), he "rolled in one goal" almost without a fight, which incredibly pleased the management and all the founders, confirming their confidence that they made the right decision. However, money is better by touch than by ear. Having waited for the loan to be repaid, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. But the new player was not going to calm down: through his friends, he asked to allow him, as an exception, to place bets of up to 1000 conventional units per number. Gambling Moscow had never seen anything like this before: the maximum possible bet per number was set at 200 conventional units, a bet of 500 was considered outright madness. But what wouldn't you do for such a sweet passenger! The casino again accepted his rules of the game. On his second visit, this Mr. Millionaire got Leonid Avangardny, who was traditionally on duty in Zoloto. Of course, all the representatives of the managerial elite flocked to help him, not so much to support him as to express their respect and admiration for the owner of a huge fortune. But their presence did not do any good: the score on the board quickly became 800,000:0, not in favor of the casino, and the game ended there. In his joy, the guest tore a wad of hundred-dollar bills in half and, as a sign of his gratitude, gave half to the waitress serving him and the security guard accompanying the manager who brought the winnings. What to do in this situation? Let them take $5,000 each? After all, the casino officially announced that all expressions of gratitude from guests are unnecessary: people working in the "Old World", rich and happy, do not need anything extra. After all, even modest tips were put away by dealers in the fleet before the eyes of the surprised player who decided to thank the croupier "the right way". The third visit again coincided with Leonid's shift. Moreover, the waitress, who never saw her tea during the dear guest's last visit, was also working that day. When the multimillionaire inquired about the fate of the money left for her and the security guard, Lenya, who does not have very good eyesight, took off his glasses because he realized that now, perhaps, they would hit him in the face. But then Skomorokh and the whole merry gang of managers came running to his aid, and with their joint efforts they changed the subject of the conversation, offering to start the game quickly. However, they failed to chat up the guest. He won half a million conventional units just as quickly as on the previous visit, took his winnings and left. This time he did not leave a tip. The guest won back his initial loss of 2,000,000 in four subsequent visits: +800,000, +500,000, +300,000, +700,000. When it was time to play for casino money, the management became very worried and began to stir: they had failed to “make a quick buck”, it was time to pay for their mistakes. And it was not at all about the dealers hitting the cluttered numbers. This required admitting the inability of even a “new format” casino to compete on equal terms with the owner of such a large fortune. Yura and Co. were faced with the prospect of either admitting their impotence or continuing to play by someone else’s rules, casting doubt on their future in the “Old World”. They chose the lesser of two evils – it was decided to admit that the guest’s financial capabilities exceeded the casino’s level of material support. For the hasty decision and the “forgetfulness” of the hired managers, the casino owners paid approximately 1,000,000 conventional units – this is the final result of the invited gentleman’s performances. With his game in the “Old World”, he proved that in addition to financial wealth, he has gymnastic skills in practicing a jump off with a win and enjoys the favor of fortune, confirming the assertion that money goes to money. It would seem that here is an example that clearly demonstrates what the English have been saying for a long time. Isn't the price of $1,000,000 enough to understand everything and become smarter? But it's not really accepted to learn from other people's mistakes, there is always a desire to experiment - will a rake hit you or will a neighbor get hit. So the epic with this guest came to an end only in the "Old World". Another old good friend of ours decided to test his luck in the position of general manager of the Taj Mahal casino. We will definitely tell you what this led to.

Having realized that it is extremely profitable for the casino when a player, passing by the roulette table, throws a quarter or a hundred and asks the dealer to cover a sector or several numbers in a row on the playing field. It is profitable because it happens in the course of movement, without concentrating on the game and without analyzing previous throws. It is profitable because it is an additional bet, like insurance, double or split on blackjack, and everything “additional” always works for the casino. In those distant times, the names “voisans de zero” [74], “tier” [75], “orfolains” [76], “zero-spiel” [77] sounded like something unusual and even outlandish. And the ability to work with them was facilitated by knowledge of the order of numbers on the roulette wheel. “Aerobatics” were demonstrated by those employees who could, during the rotation of the ball, place a bet on a number and its two neighbors to the right and left in ascending order. For example, a player threw in 100 dollars and called the bet "1 with neighbors at 20". Without a track on the felt, the dealer must accept it and place it on the field, if he does not have time - put it on the roulette wheel and place it after the ball falls. The numbers that this bet covers: 16, 33, 1, 20, 14. If the dealer covered them "in the field" during the spin in the following order: 1, 14, 16, 20, 33 - this was considered the height of skill. How little was needed then. The first to use oral bets were in the casino "Hippodrom", and then it went on and on. As it always happens in our country, we, having outdone everyone, considered that our direct responsibility is to accept everything that "flies", because this is money and it is stupid to introduce restrictions on its amount. And no one thought about the fact that the dealer might have problems: if you can't handle it, go sell pies. And as always, even in such an elementary question we managed to reach the point of insanity. A player comes to a casino. Let's call him, for example, Yura Kireev. He buys chips at the cash desk for 2500 dollars and, going up to the roulette table, throws them during a spin (movement of the ball) in the direction of the dealer, saying (Problem 1): - Voisin for 80, zero-spiel for 50, neighbors 26 for 60, neighbors 32 for 40, neighbors 0 for 80, neighbors 12 for 100. Change - equally and the maximum in numbers 6, 17, 34. Return the remainder to me. So the dealer stands at the table and thinks what to do with all this happiness? After all, to accept these bets, you must first of all start from the minimum and maximum values on a specific roulette. And also keep in mind the "step" - an acceptable value equal to the minimum bet value per number. Let's say that the minimum bet per number is $5, and the maximum is $100. How much money will Yura get back and will he get it at all? For those who want to practice, we change the input data: the roulette plays with bets from $2 to $50, and the named bet sounds like this (Problem 2): - Voisin at the maximum, zero-spiel - at the maximum, neighbors 26 for 25, neighbors 35 for 40, neighbors 0 for 30, neighbors 12 for 15. The change is mine. Question: what is the change equal to from 2000? Sometimes, not only the dealer-inspector staff had to solve problems like these, but also the pit bosses, whose job descriptions included control over payments. Sometimes, a whole council would gather at the roulette table, trying to come to a common denominator with joint efforts. The player's reaction was always extremely ambiguous: after waiting for some time and receiving an answer, he would say with an expression of offended pride: - What freaks you are! You should call even more people to help! After all, most of his bets are his own homework! Their goal is to confuse the casino workers, to cause fear of a bet that is problematic to count! And at the same time - to hit the pride and reputation of both a specific dealer/inspector and the casino as a whole. Fear has an amazing feature: what you fear happens. As Perets once aptly noted: "He who pees himself dies." Arkady recalls how, when he was a dealer at the Gosudar Casino, he had a chance to play roulette with Michael Botcher himself. There were no oral bets back then, and the player would fill the field with chips, building "skyscrapers." If he "hit," the game would stop for a lengthy procedure of calculating the payout. Michael "ran into" a voisan, and his former employees didn't want to throw out that sector (there's a dealer joke: when they don't want to count, that's why they don't throw it out). Arkady, approaching the table, was nervous, realizing that it was easy to make a mistake when counting. And he valued Michael's opinion of his abilities. And as soon as this thought crept into his head, be so kind as to say, the voisan began to fall like autumn leaves in a strong wind. For four accurate hits, he not only returned what he had lost earlier, but also poured in a little extra, receiving a generous tip. Having "gotten into trouble" the first time and counted the result, he said it out loud, checking it with the inspector's result. However, she was just having fun: the girl did not want to bother herself with counting and giggled stupidly. He did not receive any support from the pit boss either - afraid of making a mistake in front of Michael himself, the pit boss hung out near other gaming tables. Michael himself came to the aid of Arkady, frozen in a daze: he asked him to name the amount again and, having heard it, said only one word: "CHECK", allowing him to make a payment. So they continued counting together.

Only Misha knows how Misha, the pit boss from Altair, managed to get in touch with the owners of this small casino in Mitino. But the fact remains: the team of top-level professionals he leads has been successfully… taking out this establishment for a couple of years. If only you knew what kind of top-class specialists Misha has gathered under his banner! Every name is a living legend! A crook after a crook and a crook drives! The cream of the crop of the Hat-Monomakh lists! And at the head of this gang of thugs are Misha and his mistress, a girl from the training school for Altair. He put her in charge of the establishment, making her the second person after himself, and he himself would stop by to check if everything was okay in his domain, if the cow was milking well. And the cow brought a lot of milk. Even the owners got some! But either due to age or the use of active machine milking, the milk yields began to decrease, also due to the fact that guests began to bring less and less juicy grass. The appetites of the management team remained at the same level, even increased a little, as it happens during meals. As soon as they did not refine themselves in "City". "Worked" with markers and with cash loans, did not disdain to "load" the decks. Everything went off with a bang and absolutely unpunished: what is surprising, if in all positions from the general manager to the dealer there were like-minded friends, and the video surveillance service, as such, was completely absent! And if someone was sitting in the control room, then mini-performances were played out especially for him, long ago tested and well-proven in the dashing 90s. The owners were amazed beyond measure: how could this be? They had a casino, but it wasn't bringing in any money. And they started thinking about something. But Misha and Co. were able to quickly recognize the sadness on their faces. And they realized that their days were numbered and that they needed to practice their jumping-off routine for their own good. But first, as a farewell, they needed to throw a grand gala concert... Not having enough directing experience and a rich imagination, the general manager decided to simulate a situation similar to the "Altair" one, which led to ruin and closure, with the only difference that if an accident really happened in "Altair", then in "City" it was a pre-planned and well-organized event. After all, losing at roulette is an everyday occurrence and almost constant, and when a good player is lucky, the owners won't have any questions. The role of the "horse" was chosen from among the new friends, a "roulette player", one of those who came without any ulterior motives and honestly fed the casino with their finances. Everyone worshiped him: both the owners and the workers. The former because after his visits there was always a small replenishment in the cash register, the latter because there was an opportunity to take something away, while feeding the owners a little. The meaning of the scam was simple: the player is helped to win. If, when the ball falls, you throw a chip and name an oral bet, then in case of loss the inspector obliges the dealer to return it, designating it as late (after the dealer's words: "No more bets"), if the sector is guessed, then the plaintive bleating of the dealer (when there is a "stranger" at the table) is cut off by the phrase that only children are late. Everything went like clockwork. The owners did not understand where the legs were growing from, but they felt that they were deceived. And they couldn't think of anything better than to just fire the entire command and management staff. And that's all they needed!
