Everything Goes Wrong: 8 Things to Remember!

The most unpleasant thing in the world is the realization that something is going wrong. But we can’t control everything in the world, and we shouldn’t even try. We can’t completely control other people, no matter how much we’d like to. It happens that everything seems to be fine. There’s a job, a family, you’re alive and well, but there’s no sense of fulfillment in life, and everything is not quite the way you’d like it to be… There are moods when you want to change something, but you don’t know what exactly to change or how to do it. Here are 8 things to remember in such moments. 1. Pain is part of growth. Sometimes life closes doors because it’s time to move on. And that’s good, because we often don’t start moving unless circumstances force us to. When hard times come, remind yourself that no pain comes without a purpose. Move on from what hurts you, but never forget the lesson it teaches you. Just because you are struggling does not mean you are failing. Every great success requires a worthy struggle. Good things take time. Stay patient and positive. Things will get better; maybe not in a moment, but eventually they will… Remember that there are two kinds of pain: pain that hurts, and pain that changes you. As you go through life, instead of resisting it, help it grow you. 2. Everything in life is temporary. Every time it rains, you know it will end. Every time you get hurt, the wound heals. There is always light after darkness – you are reminded of it every morning, and yet it often seems like the night will last forever. It won’t. Nothing lasts forever. So if things are good right now, enjoy it. It won’t last forever. If things are bad, don’t worry, because that won’t last forever either. Just because life isn’t easy right now doesn’t mean you can’t laugh. Just because something is bothering you doesn’t mean you can’t smile. Every moment gives you a new beginning and a new ending. Every second gives you a second chance. Just take it. 3. Worrying and complaining won’t change anything. Those who complain the most, achieve the least. It’s always better to try to do something great and fail than to try to succeed without doing anything. Nothing is over if you fail; it’s over if you only complain. If you believe in something, keep trying. And no matter what happens in the end, remember that true happiness only begins to arrive when you stop complaining about your problems and start being grateful for all the problems you don’t have. 4. Your scars are symbols of your strength. Never be ashamed of the scars life has given you. A scar means the pain is gone and the wound has healed. It means you have conquered the pain, learned a lesson, become stronger and moved on. A scar is a tattoo of triumph. Don’t let scars hold you hostage. Don’t let them make you live in fear. Start seeing them as a sign of strength. Jalaluddin Rumi once said, “The light enters you through your wounds.” Nothing could be closer to the truth. Out of suffering come the strongest souls; the most powerful people in this big world are marked with scars. Look at your scars as a slogan: “YES! I DID IT! I survived, and I have the scars to prove it! And now I have a chance to become even stronger.” 5. Every little battle is a step forward. In life, patience is not the same as waiting; it is the ability to maintain a good mood while working hard for your dreams. So if you are going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, there is no point in starting. It may mean losing stability and comfort for a while, and maybe even your sanity. You may have to go without eating the foods you are used to or sleeping as much as you are used to for weeks on end. It may mean changing your comfort zone. It may mean sacrificing relationships and everything that is familiar to you. It may mean being ridiculed. It may mean being alone. Solitude, however, is a gift that makes many things possible. You will get the space you need. Everything else is a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to achieve your goal. And if you want it, you will do it, despite the failures and the disagreements. And every step will feel better than you can imagine. You will understand that the struggle is not an obstacle on the way, it is the way. 6. Negativity from other people is not your problem. Be confident when bad things happen to you. Smile when others try to bring you down. This is an easy way to maintain your own enthusiasm. When other people talk badly about you, continue to be yourself. Never let someone else's talk change you. You can’t take things too personally, even if it seems personal. Don’t think that people do things for you. They do things for themselves. Above all, never change to impress someone who says you’re not good enough. Change if it makes you better and leads you to a brighter future. People will talk no matter what you do or how well you do it. Worry about yourself, not what others think. If you believe in something, don’t be afraid to fight for it. Great strength comes from overcoming the impossible. 7. What’s meant to happen will happen. You find strength when you stop yelling and complaining and start smiling and appreciating your life. There are blessings hidden in every struggle you face, but you must be willing to open your heart and mind to see them. You can’t force things to happen. You can only try. At a certain point, you must let go and allow what’s meant to happen. Love your life, trust your intuition, take risks, lose and find happiness, learn through experience. It’s a long journey. You must stop worrying, questioning and doubting at any moment. Laugh, enjoy every moment of your life. You may not know exactly where you intended to go, but you will eventually arrive where you are meant to be. 8. Just keep moving. Don’t be afraid to get angry. Don’t be afraid to love again. Don’t let the cracks in your heart turn into scars. Realize that strength increases every day. Realize that courage is beautiful. Find in your heart what makes others smile. Remember that you don’t need many people in your life, so don’t strive to have more “friends”. Be strong when the going gets tough. Remember that the universe always does what is right. Admit when you are wrong and learn from it. Always look back, see what you have achieved, and be proud of yourself. Don't change for anyone if you don't want to. Do more. Live simpler. And never stop moving.
