There are currently many complaints online about money being written off from cards that are linked to various subscriptions and Yandex services.
This didn't pass me by either.
Yesterday, close to midnight, I received an SMS about an attempt to withdraw 1690 Russian rubles from a card, because there was little money on the card, so
the SMS contained a notification about an unsuccessful attempt to transfer.
My bank's support reported that the withdrawal attempt was from the Yandex-Plus service.
I find this service and see that it is not available to residents of Ukraine.
It's already interesting.
I wrote to their support asking them to remove any subscriptions from me, etc. In general, to stop writing off money from me.
Today Yandex Plus support asked for the date and time of the payment and the card number from which the withdrawal attempt was made.
Later
they replied that my card was linked to another user's account! Well, maybe I gave my card to a friend or relative. And it was linked to him.
Or maybe the scammers stole the card details and linked them to their Yandex.
They will unlink the card, but they do not guarantee that there will be no new attempts to withdraw, if the card was stolen by fraudsters. In short, only a reissue of the card will help, of course. On the one hand, it is logical, but for the initial linking, you need an SMS from my bank.
In Yandex services, my card was linked only to my Yumani.
And if my card went "walking" around Yandex accounts and services, then only Yandex itself could have leaked its authorization!!!
Who noticed that
Yandex Mail was renamed to Yandex 360 and they stuffed a bunch of stuff in there and offered all sorts of paid subscriptions everywherefor some unknown reason?
Well, if you look, there are tons of complaints on the Internet about Yandex services, which in the same way write off money from cards.
Be vigilant!
Do not give Yandex information about your bank cards!
For those who had any card payments through Yandex -
reissue these cards immediately!
