USB device (selector) to increase the winnings of the slot machine

The same companies that make USB selectors that reduce the payout of slot machines also create the opposite option - flash drives that force the launch of bonus games.



In the first option, the directors of the gaming halls install the equipment and believe that they have every right to do so. They are not concerned that instead of playing at 80% return, players will play with 30-40% slot machines to no avail.

In the second option, the use of USD selectors by players that increase payouts is considered fraud and is severely prosecuted.



A criminal case on large-scale fraud in Minsk gambling establishments has been completed. According to the case materials, thanks to a change in the algorithm in the machines, the defendants earned at least 222 thousand rubles. The press service of the Investigative Committee reports details.

The case has already been transferred to the prosecutor for referral to court. There are 11 defendants, and materials for another 6 people have been separated into separate proceedings: they are wanted in other countries.
According to the indictment, an organized group of citizens of the two countries was created on the territory of Belarus and Russia, and the group was led from the Russian Federation.

The group members sought out administrators of gaming halls in Minsk who, for a material reward, installed devices resembling a data storage device into the USB ports of certain machines. The employees of the establishments then rebooted the equipment, which changed its operating algorithm.

Then other people visited the establishments under the guise of players, using special technical means to transmit images from the machines. This information was processed by participants who had specially arrived from Russia and told the "players" the key combination to start the bonus game.

According to the case materials, each of the players and hall administrators received from 5 to 10% of the winnings, the rest went to the Russian organizers.

More than 40 episodes have been counted, and the property damage is estimated at no less than 222.4 thousand rubles (more than 100 thousand dollars at the current exchange rate).

The actions of 11 people were classified by the investigation under Part 2 of Article 349 (Unauthorized access to computer information) and Part 4 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code (Fraud committed as part of an organized group).

The first offense is punishable by a fine of up to 2 years of imprisonment, while the second offense is punishable by 3 to 10 years with confiscation of property.
