DEALER - casino personnel responsible for spinning the roulette and throwing the ball. Another name for the employee running the game is "croupier".

DEALER SIGNATURE - the shape of the ball launch pattern, which is caused by the constant speed of the ball release and its similar torque.

DIAMONDS (CANOE) - metal deflectors located on the rim of the roulette wheel.

MARQUEE - electronic screen, statistics display of numbers drawn.

WHEEL BIAS - a condition of a roulette wheel in which the ball lands in certain pockets or areas of the wheel more often than expected by statistical analysis. The condition usually develops on older wheels and is considered a mechanical defect.

PREDICATE
- the distance on the wheel track between two points, rouletted in pockets (number pockets).

ITM% (In The Money - percentage of getting into the prizes) POKER ODDS RATINGS

ITM%, also known as "in the money", is the percentage of total games that you make it into the money. Personally, I think this is more relevant for SNGs than big MTTs. In a $100, 1,000-player tournament, you might get $3 as a consolation prize for finishing above average. However, that doesn't cover your buy-in, so even with a 100% ITM, you could still be losing money if the payouts don't exceed your buy-in.

At the same time, in small SNG tournaments, ITM% is a powerful tool for assessing your competence and profitability. For example, in a 9-player tournament where the top three places are paid, you should expect an ITM of at least 33%; if your rate is lower, you will lose money over the long term.

Winrate is a roulette of winning in a cash game over the long term.

It should be emphasized that poker is a game of dispersion. This means that there can be quite long periods of winning or losing, determined largely by luck. When such situations arise, do not fall into euphoria from winning or be upset by losing - you need to enjoy the correctness of your decisions, which will give you a win in the long run. The minimum statistics on the basis of which you can make serious conclusions about the level of your game is considered to be 30 thousand hands. A reliable result is obtained after 100 thousand hands. But this does not cancel the need for daily analysis of the played hands, identifying and eliminating your mistakes in the game.

For limit Texas Hold'em it is defined as BB/100 (Big Bets/100 hands). For no-limit and pot-limit games, the win rate can be similarly designated as BB/100, where BB is already interpreted as Big Blinds, or you can find PTBB/100, which is an estimate of 2*Big Blinds/100, where PT is Poker Tracker, a statistics analysis program that introduced this method of estimating win rate. It is clear that the latter unit of roulettement is twice as large as the former, so the values will be half as large.

Example: You played 100,000 hands at NL100 and won $2,500. This means your winrate will be:
$2500/(100000/100)/$1 = 2.5 BB/100 or 1.25 PTBB/100.
A good result is considered to be approximately twice as much.

Hourly Win (Average Win per Hour of Play) - POKER ODDS RATINGS for CASH games

Ultimately, for someone starting to earn money with poker, the most important indicator is the average win per hour of play. It obviously depends on the win rate, but in addition to the win rate, it is also primarily influenced by the number of tables played.

Example: When playing 4 tables, you have a win rate of 8 BB/100, and if you play 8 tables, you can no longer play as attentively at all tables, and the win rate drops to 5 BB/100 hands. However, the win per hour in the second case will be higher, since in the same time you will play twice as many hands, and therefore achieve the same result as if you played 4 tables with a win rate of 10 BB/100 hands.

The gain per hour can be calculated using the formula:
Win per hour = winrate * speed (hands/hour at one table) * number of tables * limit (big blind in dollars) / 100

For example, if you play at NL100 with a win rate of 5 BB/100 6 tables at a speed of 70 hands per hour on one table, then the average win per hour will be 5 * 70 * 6 * 1/100 = $ 21 per hour.

It is not always necessary to chase the maximum win per hour. More attentive play, when you pay more attention to your development, can pay off in the future.

For tournament play, the equivalent of the win rate indicator, which characterizes the profitability of the game, is ROI.

Catch-up, Playing on catch-up - a style of play when a short group of WINs located in a row is caught and the previous win serves as a powerful pump for the next bet.

The goal is to grab the Win chain without breaking it.

Always compare the frequency of winnings with the "norm" in mathematics.
If your Win fits into the math, then you're digging in the wrong place = no effect for % guesses
When you play 1 number, then according to bare math
even a one-time pick-up will be possible for you
(w)W = 1/37 = 0.027 (times 50 times)
twice
(w)WW = 1/37 * 1/37 = 0.00073 (1000 times)

if more often, then your predictive models make sense
if much more often, then everything is great =
a) expand the bet to 5-6 numbers = 5/37 will come in more often = 13.5% versus 2.7%
b) don't throw in all the money, but 50% of the previous win.... while it's going WWWWWWW

////////////////////////
as for "overboard" - each 1 number has as many as 2 neighbors overboard, so by naked mathematics they will appear 2 times more often (and annoy you) than your long-awaited....

CH OFFSET (FAIRNESS CONTROL)

FERRUM
Boris, could you comment in more detail in the video with your voice about the shift function and what it is used for?

the casino ordered the numbers 1-2-3-4
in a proper CC mechanism there is a bias on the player's side = you can add +0..+36 any number to the next spin at any time.
play without offset (+0) is to move along the initial casino generation

for example, you don't like what's falling (maybe the casino created the generation specifically against you) and you write OFFSET = 12, then 1-2-3-4 turn into 13-14-15-16
== these numbers are arranged in a completely different way and with a slight movement of your hand you can destroy any casino counter-scheme combination
