The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) is one of the strictest gambling regulators. They monitor the compliance of gambling establishments with the provisions of the legislation and issued licenses. Sports betting does not fall under their jurisdiction.

We license and regulate the people and businesses that provide gambling in Great Britain including the National Lottery.
The UKGC's primary role is to support the aims of the Advisory Council for Safer Gambling (ABSG) on strategic priorities for research, education and treatment aimed at minimising gambling-related harm.
The question is not about the fairness of the casino games themselves. Such working conditions are created for the casinos that help players control their expenses.
At the beginning of 2021, the UKGC added new restrictions:
- Functions that speed up the game or create the illusion of control over the outcome (auto-stop of slot reels).
- Sounds or images that create the illusion of winning when in fact the payout is less than or equal to the bet.
- Slot spins lasting less than 2.5 seconds (auto mode in slot machines).
- It is prohibited to accept player deposits from credit cards, only debit sources can be used.
Additional requirements are being established to protect players:
- Online casinos must clearly show players their total losses or winnings.
- Show the duration in time of each slot session.
- A complete ban on player cancellation of withdrawal requests for any type of online gambling is introduced.
For failure to comply with its rules, the UKGC revokes licences and imposes fines.
