Money cannot be set as a goal, because it is only a medium to the goal.
Few people understand this, and none of the active forum members understand it.
To live your whole life in a commune somewhere on a warm island.... where you have kind, smart and caring parents... where you have cheerful and goal-oriented friends.... where no one gets sick... where everyone chooses their own work and works for the common good as much as they want... no one lies or tries to live at someone else's expense... where everyone is happy and unburdened by everyday life.... of course, with all the benefits of modern civilization... in spiritual self-development and maximum comfort until old age....
==== THIS IS A UTOPIA!
The REAL world around us is cruel and often unfair. People are far from perfect; many are unprincipled, foolish, and selfish. In this jungle, creating a comfort capsule in the form of a family and building relationships with the world in which everything is more or less harmonious and stress-free is quite a challenge. The rules by which society operates could be called a prison for the spirit, but they are ingrained and keep most from the bloody chaos of "might makes right."
MONEY = is the degree of FREEDOM of choice.
Anyone who downplays their role in modern society is being disingenuous. In absolutely every area of our lives, MONEY improves the quality of life itself, at the level of consumption of goods and services. Even admiring the sunset is 100 times better with money. Fly to the tropics or the far north, watch the sun set into the ocean with a glass of wine and unusual snacks. I'm not talking about trivial things like the quality of food or the level of healthcare, education, etc.
Money and spirituality. One doesn't interfere with the other. Money gives you the opportunity to buy books, attend theaters, coaches, sign up for courses, visit holy sites, go on pilgrimages, etc. With money, you can help countless people in difficult times... instead of empty expressions of condolence... and so on.
There is no such thing as too much money ))) The only thing is, MONEY should not become an end in itself ))) stinginess, greed, avarice and covetousness = these are sins that turn a person into a pig.
That's why.
A SLAVE is a person who works like crazy all his life, lives in poverty and has never held even 10,000 dollars in his hands in his entire life that he could spend as he pleases.
WORK is a useful load in a person's life, it helps not to waste life, and ideally = a way to reveal one's creative and intellectual potential through CREATION.
GAMBLING - as a way to quickly increase or rather lose any amount of money, while it is an opportunity for any mortal to touch a vast ocean of money.
MONEY - freedom of choice
FREEDOM is the basis of a happy person's life
HAPPINESS is in life itself
The meaning of life is beyond life itself.
